This is not a UK sighting but its of interest. I was fishing in Ireland last week on a river in Coot Hill, Co Cavan. We (8 of us) saw a mink run out of the bushes and swim accross the river. Then my mate was using a dead roach as pike bait and another mink ran out of trees behind him, strolled past his feet, jumped in the river and tried to grab the bait, there`s nothing like cheek is there!!!!!!!!! These truly are dangerous animals, they are viscous and eat almost anything they come accross.
