A couple of years ago I was driving back from Aberystwyth on the high mountain road to Rhayader, it was evening time and just at twilight, suddenly, about 300 yds ahead of me, I saw a Black Panther jump from a ditch onto the road side. Fortunately, the animal stood there until I drove up to it and it turned out to be a black Lamb which hadn't had its tail docked, if the animal had disappeared before I'd got to it I would have sworn it was a Black Panther I'd seen. ;D
