To All Our Members:
I'm so pleased to anounce that BeastWatch (UK) has recieved its very first donation ever, a cheque for £200 has been donated by a company that chooses a member of staff each year to nominate a cause of their choice, and we were chosen, but rather than running way with it, to the far corners of my local resort, :o) I thought I'd ask our members what YOU yourselves think these funds would be best spent on.
I've made a small list below of thing which come to mind:
We coud aso do with a decent Parabolic Dish, Microphone along with some Recording Equipment. The Laptop would obviuosly have to be second hand, but may come in handy out there in the field, Trigger Cameras are aways usful for vigils etc, but my greatest concern over these is theft, once it's out there and left, it's open to anyone, I've never had much luck with personal I've items left myself before, A Good Quality Inflatable Dinghy would be very helpful, as I'm hoping we may be able to carry out some survey work this year on our Red Eared Terrapins, that are now colonising our waterways. Parabolic Dish, Microphone & Recording Equipment, this could also become very useful during vigils.
