Hi everyone, just joined this site after lurking for a while.I love reading about unusual sightings of wildlife. I actually found you all by accident after My OH came home from work about 2 years ago and said he had seen a Kangaroo lying dead by the roadside just outside Oxford on the A40. At the time I laughed and said it was probably some poor Greyhound that had been knocked down (thinking along the lines of long legs & tail). Anyway he insisted that it was not a dog and so I began investigating, and low and behold Wallaby's have been sighted in that area . Still not told OH about this though,he's smug enough as it is ;D

Hi there and to the forum. I remember reading a report of a wallaby on M40, not too far from where your OH saw one. I did try to track it down, by calling local road clearers etc, but everyone kept quiet. They are more common than you think now. Kazz

Hi lenabears, You'd be supprised to know there's often Wallabies now reported alongside the M40, they get hit by traffic and left for dead on the hard shoulder, it's a crying shame really, I believe there's approx 2 colonies now in Buck's and it's about time something was done about them, perhaps road signs indicating their presence. Any other ideas anyone Chris
