Hi Chris and everyone. Ive just finished reading Merrily Harpurs book on the Big Cats Mystery. I would like to know what the learned forum has to say. Do you accept her daimon theory? Is there any other way of accounting for so many black panther sightings? Why has nobody been badly injured; a leopard is a quick and decisive killer, yet we are left with a few scratches. Why? Certainly the most comprehensive attempt at unravelling the phenomenon, but pixies and daimons? What do you think?

Holmes,
I've not read her book, so can't really comment, were you typing Pixies and Demons?
I tend to walk with my feet firmly on the ground, but with an open mind all the same, hence Sherlock Holmes's quotes below.

:)You will have to read it. She specifically relates to the daimons of neoplatonism not the western idea of demons. They are very different. A tad disappointing that there is so little debate on this site, in what has to be a golden age in exotic animals roaming our countryside. Randal
